i’ve decided to participate in the sketchbook project. they sent me a moleskine cahier notebook in which i’m supposed to dwell on the theme “It’s not easy being green”. well, between thinking of splashing loads of green paint all over the pages or painting little green aliens over urban images, i went for the minimalist approach, and perhaps the most faithful to the theme of being ‘green’, that is, in my understanding, caring for the environment and all that sort of thing.
this is my submission

i removed all the pages and recycled them

then i saved the planet a bit more by not even using an envelope.
my contribution to the exhibition “About Now” taking place at Perla-Mode, in Zurich, on the evening of 21 October. About Now – curated by Veronika Spierenburg – concerns itself with photography as a live action work.
Is there a photograph you wish you had taken?
i wish i had taken a picture of my son just after he was born. I couldn’t touch him or be with him for long that day. A visual memory would have compensated for that.
Is there a photograph you wish you had been included in?
i wish i had been included in my sister’s all girls wedding photo but the photographer asked me to leave the group. 14 years later i still want to crush his camera.
